Can't access the hidden options

Hi, I'm a bit new to all this stuff but I'm trying to learn. I'm trying to encode a DV-AVI file that's 16:9 in autogk but it keeps making it 4:3, looking really deformed.

I know I have to access the hidden options to change it, but when I hit control + F9, nothing happens. Is there any other way to access the hidden options?

do you run anything that might be catching global shortcuts at the same time as AutoGK?
