Anyone successfully created a fully synched DIVX/XVID of "DaVinci Code?"

I successfully ripped the DVD to hard disk and can play it back with PowerDVD without any problems.

However, when I try to convert this movie to DIVX or XVID, I ALWAYS get an audio sync problem anywhere from 100ms to 5 seconds!!!!

I tried to convert using....

Video Cleaner Pro
AutoKG
Magic DVD Ripper DIVX Conversion Option
DIVX Converter
Dr. DIVX

This is the only DVD I have had this problem with... :(

Hi!

Try re-ripping your DVD using the easy to use "RipIt4me" package (Incorporates RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink). You can download this excellent freeware from:

I had this problem too. I just did a manual sync of the audio but also had to sync up the forced subs.

Well according to me there's a perfect way of getting audio sync. Try making d2v file first using DGindex. Select Audio menu, click on Output method & then 'Demux all tracks'. Check whether the demuxed ac3/dts..whatever.... is in sync. If not, then make another d2v file, this time select Output method as 'Decode AC3 track to Wav' in Audio menu. I am sure that the wav file u will get in output will b in sync. Frameserve this d2v file to divx converter using Avisynth & start converting. That shud solve ur prob !

ok, DGIndex created the d2v and I also have the .WAV and .M2V files. I'm not really sure what to do next. I don't have any experience with Avisynth :(

I did not ignore it. I redid the rip using RipIt4Me and when I tried converting to divx, I still got audio delays.

I used the "RipIt4Me" package to rip the Region 1 version of the "DaVinci Code" and then used "MPEGMediator" to create a DivX-compressed .AVI that was perfectly in synch...

If you're going to use a program other than "MPEG Mediator" for the conversion, I'd suggest you use the "RipIt4Me" package in the "Movie-only" mode...

Incredible. I try every new DIVX conversion app out there and then I try this circa 2002 software MPEG Mediator and it worked perfectly. The movie is fully in sync...what gives?
