View Full Version : Is there any way to update VTSM_C_ADT?

I have a DVD with an empty VTSM_C_ADT. Cheap DVD players, which make from China, play fine. However, some DVD players, old or more expensive ones, do not like the disc and refuse to play. Now I have start and end sectors for VTSM_C_ADT. Is there a way to update VTSM_C_ADT?

Is it an authoring error?

Anyway, just process the DVD in VobBlanker. It should fix it.

Check "Use input folder", "process menus", uncheck "process titles", and do not skip the VTS you want to fix.

Probably pgcEdit will do it, too...

Hi JSoto,

Thanks for a quick reply. I'm not sure if it's an authoring error. PgcEditV7.4 reported no error when the disc was loaded. So I am not sure if VobBlanker would see any error.

I remembered reading from this forum that empty VTSM_C_ADT was okay. However, my relatives' players could not play it. My DVD player played the disc fine.

I will try VobBlanker tonight. Will VobBlanker update empty VTSM_C_ADT with proper entries in it?

VobBlanker will create the table using the data from the VOB.
But, if there is no menu VOB, then VTSM_C_ADT should be empty, in fact, it should not exist...that's correct.
Do you have a menu VOB?

With latests betas of VobBlanker you can create a "fake" menu, using SMART gaps (but it will be created only if Titles VOBs are small enough). This "fake" menu has one unreferenced cell, so VTSM_C_ADT will have one entry.

When the dvd is loaded to VobBlanker V2.1.1.0, VobBlanker warned that there were menus which are not in VTSM_C_ADT. The DVD's menus were then processed by VobBlanker. Unfortunately, VTSM_C_ADT is still empty after process with VobBlanker. :(

Sorry, forgot to say...Do a full scan after load the DVD and before process it

File--> VOB Full Scan, and check MENUS in the pop up menu

Please let me know if it solves your problem...

You're right!
I've revised the code and it is skipping the part where the table is created, because initially it does not exist!. I've to recode this, but it is not obvious....

Sorry for give you a wrong infomation..

Well, seems you'll have to try the old method (but still working) of mock strip in IFOEDIT (in menus domain).

Edit:
You can find info about how to do a mock strip here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=559156#post559156)

Try this: VobBlanker_2120 beta11 (http://download.videohelp.com/jsoto/betas/VobBlanker_2120b11_exe.zip)

I coded the fix too quick and I did not have too much time to test it... but in a first run it has reconstructed the table for me...

I will start VobBlankerV2.1.2.0Beta11 tonight.

Before I started this thread, I had tried mock strip with IfoEdit, probably version 0.97. But IfoEdit crashed.
