BBmpeg starts before CCE is finshed encoding

Hi all
I have been using Dvd2Svcd for around 2 weeks now & I am having some problems.

If I use CBR, every Rip I do completes perfectly.
if I use Vbr 1 pass it also works perfectly.
if I use Vbr above 1 pass the bbmpeg prog launches before CCE has finshed encoding!

this results in a BBmpeg error no video file found.(cant remember the actual wording but its the file that CCE creates on completion.)

I have only finished one movie at above 1 pass & even that froze in CCE at 75%. when I cancelled it the BBmpeg ran on etc & it completed it.

I have re-installed a number of times, & even tried it on different computers. same results.
I am using XP at the moment but have also tried it with a virgin install of ME. same results.

Machine 1 Details: P4 1.5gb, 750mb ram, 2 X 40gig hdd, Ati radeon 8500, XP & ME

Machine 2 Details: P3 1gb, 500mb ram, 1 X 30gig hdd, Ati radeon vivo, XP & ME

I am testing 1.0.5 build 3 now for a few days and i have the same problem with a trailer bbmepg starts after CCE is around 9% done.
I closed bbmpeg and CCE finished its job but i had to select crash recovery before it finsihed its job.Maybe a bug ?
Thx btw for your great program dvd2svcd i like it very much but i think i will continue using 1.0.4 build 1 with I-Author because it never failed on me.

Is that 9% into the VAF file creation or 9% into the mpv file creation?

Thanks for the fast respond it was making the mpv.
btw trying 1.0.5 build 3 again with the I-Auhor option was reading the forum and found out that i had to edit the ini file.
its at 57% now and bbmpeg didnt start yet.

Since my post I have been messing around generally & have come up with the following result.

I have downloaded the latest version 105 release 3
& got similar results, however i have traced it back to the version of CCE i am using.
I am using the Spanish version of CCE! without the Cinema Craft Banner.
if I use the normal U.K. version Dvd2Svcd runs Perrrfectly. (but I don't want the banner!)

with the spanish version CCE waits at the mpv creation window. if you are there when this happens & manually select continue then everything is fine.
if you miss it, then bbmpeg starts sometime afterwards & then can't find the Mpv & so errors out.

I found that if i then use crash recovery starting at Video I can manually select continue & it encodes ok.
trouble is it takes 2 nights to complete instead of one.

One good point though, all the chapters now work perfectly.
looks like i'll have to find another copy of CCE without the banners & try that :D

By the way Mr DVD2SVCD it's a Cracking Program suite & now I have found a way to make it work I'll be sending you a Donation ASAP.

just a little observation:
using the English version of CCE the conversion speed on my machine is 1.3 - 1.5
using the spanish version it is .93 - .985 :confused:
