Watermark removal

I've got a video with a watermark in the corner. It's approximately 150 x 20. Can somebody please tell me if they can think of a way of overlaying a black strip to hide the watermark? I would rather not crop the entire width of the video if possible...

Wouldn't you rather have the logo removed without hurting the image than slapping on a black bar and hide the logo? That sounds even more annoying. This (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=116413) thread should help with the logo removal.
