Statsreader for inserting Intra frame

Hi folk!
Can I use Statsreader for inserting intra frame in pass file and save as stats file. I try make this after first I make 1-st pass and save pass file after I load this file by Statsreader insert Intra frames (5 pieces for 3000 frames). Save stats file, and change file path during second pass in Xvid. When I making avi file I get file with constant quant equal 2. That I made wrong?

The stats file trick is ok (if it's just for 1 or 2 frames).

You did things correctly until you asked for the 2nd pass, where you obviously set XviD for target quantizer instead of target filesize or bitrate.

I know you aren't from an english-speaking country, but please use "," and "." when you post, it's easier to understand you that way :)

Uh, is there a newer version of statsreader around? The version in Koepi's kit won't generate an output ".pass" file for use with current xvid.

Reason I ask - In the context of the vbv work I've been doing, I've seen cases where a judiciously placed keyframe would split a low bitrate section of a 'scene' off from a higher bitrate section, and thus the lower bitrate section wouldn't get scaled down by the correction factor for the scene computed due to the high bitrate section.

As things stand, the only way to do this is to create zones using the keyframe flag and redo both passes, which is extremely cumbersome.

No, this is also what happens when the stats file can't be read correctly.

Sorry, I lost the statsreader ources due to a hard drive failure some years ago so I couldn't adopt it to output the newer .pass-files. I never found the time for rewriting that thing. :(

If you are interested, I found an old email message in a Google cache a while back, that once I un-base64'd it was a zip file containing what appears to sources for statsreader V2.0
