very slow avi

i have ripped star wars ep1 using gknot, and followed the guide on doom9.org to the letter, but the resulting avi plays really slow

can anyone help?

Are you using the Windows Media Player 8 for playback?
If yes, than use another player. Use the WindowsMediaPlayer 6.4 or BSPLayer and everything should work fine.

i didnt specify an audio bitrate - just used the ac3 file that was ripped by smartripper

and yes i am using wmp8 - but other divx files on my puter work fine in wmp8

ok - tried it in bsplayer, and it worked fine - whats the prob with wmp8?
