Hello, and welcome to the forum,
Sorry I know this is in the wrong section but i'm a newbie and can't find the area this is supposed to go in - please forgive my ignorance - oops!!
We have a Newbie Forum.
The Vdub Filters or the Avisynth Filters?
If you're using AviSynth, you use AviSynth filters, unless there's one in VDub for which there is no AviSynth equivalent. Otherwise you cancel out some of the benefit of using AviSynth in the first place (speed and quality).
and also if you use two (of the same) on the same video from both programs do they cancel each other out or just "overdo the job" making the video look crappy??
It's sometimes OK to run the same filter twice.
I'm using avisynth to do my tv series dvd episodes and i was wondering which de-interlacer to use?
There's a good chance you don't deinterlace at all, but can IVTC instead. Other than that, if you really do need to deinterlace, I recommend LeakKernelDeint for a good combination of speed and quality, TDeint for slightly slower and maybe slightly better results, and there are several even better and super-slower ones.
SORRY TO BOTHER YOU MANONO AGAIN OR ANYONE...
BUT DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE DO THE INVERSE TELECINE OR TELECIDE THINGY HERE??? AND IS IT TIME CONSUMING IF SO???
SO THIS MEANS THAT 80'S TV SERIES LIKE "ALF, A-TEAM AND MWC" ARE NOT INTERLACED AND THUS DO NOT HAVE TO BE DEINTERLACED??
BTW - DOES THIS ACCOUNT FOR THAT IMAGE EDGE BLOCKING THING WHERE A STRAIGHT LINE/EDGE AT AN ANGLE BECOMES A "STAIRCASE" SO TO SPEAK, WITH RIDGES THAT WEREN'T THERE BEFORE?? OR IS IT JUST BECAUSE OF THE OBVIOUS QUALITY LOSS WHEN YOU GO FROM 9000 KBPS DOWN TO 1200 KBPS???
JUST A FEW QUESTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN BUGGING ME HERE..
CAUSE LIKE OTHERS I'M OBVIOUSLY LOOKING FOR THE HIGHEST QUALITY, YET COMPACT, RIPS FOR MY STANDALONE WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT 3 HOURS OR MORE FOR A 22 MIN SHOW TO COMPRESS. I USED TO DOWNLOAD RIPS OFF EMULE BUT FOUND OUT I COULD DO A BETTER JOB MYSELF AND STILL HAVE FILES SMALL ENOUGH TO FIT IN MULTIPLE ON A BLANK DVD R.
:thanks: :goodpost:
