View Full Version : "simple" tool for anamorphic encoding?

Is there a tool such as autogk that will let me make PAL-DVD resolution xvid ANAMORPHIC encode in either avi or mkv?

I mean, all-in-one-tool that eats IFO and/or VOB and spits out compressed avi/mkv file after about two hours with desired bitrate or "quality"?

I can take AutoGK-generated 720x576-resolution xvid-file (override input AR to fool AutoGK not to mess with resolution) and use either mpeg4modifier (requires me to sit waiting next to the app) or mkvmerge (good except no batch mode) .. Both methods require additional step so I can't just make a batch of dozen DVB captures/DVD rips and let it crunch it while I'm at work..

I spent last couple of hours doing :search: dance and found a couple of tools which kind of maybe do what I want but they either require many preliminary manual steps (demux etc etc) or were too much for the slope of my forehead.

Any suggestions?

MeGUI (oneclick encoder feature).

I quess this thread really belongs in Mpeg4 GUI forum, but..

I actually took a look into the MeGUI it but couldn't figure it out, so. There seems to be guide/tutorial in the GUI forum. I quess I'll take a look again tonight.

AutoMKV also seems to do what I want.
