Hello. I'm trying to create a VOB (mpg) from a still image (jpg) for the duration of a 3 minute song. I'm using TMPGEnc DVD Author. Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.

Hi!
You can accomplish this quite easily using the freeware version of Muxman, as can be seen in thread at this link:

Thanks setarip. Can you tell me what dimensions a bmp file has to be in order for it to qualify as a DVD compliant bmp? So far I've tried 640x480 and 800x600 but MuxMan doesn't want to accept it. Thanks again for your help.

720x480 for NTSC
720x576 for PAL
are most common (all other DVD compliant resolutions are possible)

I need a bit more help here guys...I used Muxman and it created the proper VOB, BUP and IFO files to play in the VIDEO-TS folder as a DVD file. My problem, however, occurs when I try adding the folder with these files into my TMPGenc DVD Author project. The project gets created alright, but that particular video is seen as a 2 minute file (ending after just 2 minutes) instead of the proper 3 minutes that it is. Also, the picture portion of the video doesn't play properly. I used 2 separate pictures throughout the 3 minutes of audio (alternating each picture every 30 seconds) but only 1 of the pictures is seen for the duration (which as I said, cuts off after just 2 minutes). I guess my problem may be that the IFO information may be messed up. Is there anyway to correct the IFO, so that it can be read properly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again!

Ok, here is my problem. I created the VOBs with MuxMan. They do play fine as a single DVD, however, when I try importing the VOB into my TMPGEnc DVD Author project, it reads the time of the file incorrectly. The actual time of the file is 2:59, and when I choose "ADD VIDEO" in TMPGEnc, it also reads the actual time of 2:59, however, when I click next and choose chapter edit, it shows the time as being 2:37. When I play the file, it cuts off at 2:37. I tried IfoEdit, Get VTS Sector and correct VOB-unit pointers in VOB file, and after it says it corrected the pointers, it gives me an error message that says "There is something wrong! The IFO Endsector does not match the file size." Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
