I haven't posted in awhile and I figured I'm closer to noob then experienced, so thought this would be the place to post. I've been having alot of issues properly converting anime DVD content to non interlaced/telecined raw content. I'm using Gordian Knot and Robot4Rip for the DVD-DivX process. DGIndex determines the content to be 0.0% film and doesn't enable force film. That would be okay if it was interlaced content, but I can't seem to deinterlace the content properly. Using the Inverse Telecine option in Gordian Knot seems to help the most, but neither IT or any of the deinterlace options properly remove all of the combing. Using media player classic to preview the video in steps (frame by frame I assume) I count 4-5 frames before seeing an interlaced frame (usualy 5, rarely 4). I've read about weird field/frame counts for interlacing video. Is it possible I have one or is there more to telecining that I should know (probably but anything that would help here)? Also would a sample of the video help? If so, how would I upload enough raw content (seems like size would be a problem).

If you don't already know about it:

If it is, as you say, 4-5 frames before you notice the artifacts then I presume you could just upload a 20 second clip.

Shouldn't be that large...
