Hi Guys.

Anyone have any luck ripping Tai Seng Dvd's? If So how?

Tai Seng dvd's are region 1 and they are listed as "The largest source for Hong Kong entertainment"

What have I tried?

I have tried DVDFab. The latest version with no luck. I have also installed region free software with still no luck.

I have tried dvd decrypter and the poor thing tries to read the disc, but just dies trying.

Some serious Kung Fu going on with those discs...help!

THanks be.
Tribe

Hi!

1) Are you able to play the original, commercial DVDs on your PC?

2) Try ripping your DVD(s) using the easy to use "RipIt4me" package (Incorporates RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink). You can download this excellent freeware from:

www.ripit4me.org

While you're at that site, read the excellent "how to" tutorial...

@ setarip_old

you seem to ask that particular question ALOT; i'd prefer "don't ask, don't tell", unless it obviously, but "to each their own"

i could go into chinatown or ebay, find what i want (note to self, learn to understand), and i ask "are these originals, and not bootlegs"; naturally, they would answer: "yes, direct from HK"

how would one tell the differences beforehand?

@dani82

The question, "are you able to play the original, commercial DVDs on your PC?", is asked to help determine if the original DVD is the source of the problem. If the original DVD doesn't play properly, the copy one makes of it will also not play properly.

As obvious as this may seem to you or me, many responses to this same question in other threads indicate that the threadstarter did not first determine whether the original source DVD played properly - Hence, some posts stating, "I exchanged the DVD for a new one and now everything is fine"...
