Hi folk!
I encoding small files (music clib) for mobile phone 3-5 minutes duration. During encoding I always get smaller file size or smaller bitrate. Please advise method for rate control.
With kind regards yup.

This makes no sense at all. If "u cant set the bitrate when encoding," when do you set the bitrate? If "u can set that to whichever bitrate u want," when do you set that? After the encoding is done?

encoding short sequences xvid struggles to reach a certain bitrate accurately.
I am sure somone here can recommend some settings for making the rate control more stringent and thus hit the bitrate you have specified
