Can I generalise results from this post?

Meaning, that 'simple mmx' is ranked third in quality and second in speed? If this is true, than I wouldn't consider any other formats but that one and maybe the better quality ones (ieee and 64 bit). Anyone know how much of an impact the 'higher quality' idct's have on the encoding speed? A general 'not noticeable' to 'really noticeable' is all I'm looking for, I'm encoding with MeGui/X264 on an AMD X2.

What are the tradeoffs of each audio format? My target size is ~150mb for 1h40m of audio. I did HE-AAC 6 channel audio with Nero 6 / BeLight before but I'm not really happy with the result. Should I try LC-AAC multichannel/stereo; or OGG multichannel/stereo? Or some other AAC codec than Nero? The source track is a 448kbps 6ch AC3 file. Compatibility is not an issue, mp3 is not being considered.

Lastly, 1360kbit/s X264 with all the sensible advanced options turned on, is it enough for 1280x592 video?

Some of these things I can find out on my own by testing, I know, but I'm a little short on time atm..
