I love this movie...

what is the real story of this napoleon dynamit, did he some footage by himself for MTV???and then they did a wide screen movies?

The dvd I have included some extras. From what I recall the original short film was called Toluca, and was made as a graduation film. I think the lead actor was just a friend of the director.

My dvd is in storage at the moment, so cant have another look.

I agree, the film is really good, and I think probably quite autobiographical.

I might as well recommend another film: Pans Labyrinth,...........amazing!!!!

You are right, Jared Hess (the director) made a short named Peluca while a Brigham Young University.

I got a copy of the short movie "peluca". i really like this DVD, each time I watch it, I laugh! One of the best US movies seen in my EU life.
great family movie!
