Hi there,

Sorry if you get questions like this every other day, but I'm kind of lost and need some input.

I have been shooting DV for some years with my old Canon MV20, and I now want to secure the recordings on DVD's. I believe that it will also be easier to access and watch the DV is it is on DVD.

I have found a good software to grab the DV into my PC. I am using WinDV1.2.3, which seems to be a good program.

My problem is that I am stuck now. I need some advise as to which program to get ( or buy ) to transform the files into V.O.B's. Some years ago I bought a program call Super DVD creator, but it seem to take ages just to produce one 60 min. DVD. I don't need a big professional program, as I don't really want to do a whole lot of editing, but simply just want the DV onto DVD's.

Any good ideas out there? Any help would be highly appriciated.

If the only thing you want to do is convert the "captured" avi to dvd, then I suggest AVI2DVD. Google it for download (freeware).

If all you want to do is dump the DV to DVD without any editing etc, you can save *a lot* of time and frustration by using a standalone DVD recorder. Some even have DV input - starting at less than $100!
