No sound in dvd player

I just successfully finished my first DVD backup. All 3 cd's play with sound on the pc (Power dvd ), there is no sound in my dvd player?? Iused the dvd2avi guide. Any sugestions??:confused:

there's like a dozen guides based on dvd2avi at least. Since you say you get no audio on your standalone I presume it's vcd or svcd.. but which one exactly and which guide exactly?

Im making a svcd using DOOM9 guides, TPMG guide under DVD2AVI VCD & SVCD Guides. I did the DE-REmux Under bbMPEG & burned with Nero.

that guide leaves you with a lot of choices. what encoding mode in tmpg did you use? what bitrate? what audio bitrate? did you get any error messages in the bbmpeg process?
