View Full Version : Audio Delay Messes Up Joining Clips - Help!

So I have two Xvid Compressed clips of converted HDTV. All the below is using VirtualDub.
The first, I had to place +300ms of audio delay to get the av sync correct. Then either clip would play back beautifully alone. But when appended and direct streamed out, the audio is off sync beginning at the join, throughout the 2nd clip.
How to fix?

Hi!

Hopefully, you still have the two separate clips. If so, just adjust the audio of the second clip for the asynchronous time that appears when you originally joined them, and save with a new name. (By doing so, your adjusted second clip wil now be out of synch - but that's okay).

Then join the adjusted second clip to the original first clip...

Well, i figured that would work, but
of course there are actually 6 clips, and the error is in #2, so #2 was adjusted and it would mean adjusting 3-6 also.
sucks

so #2 was adjusted and it would mean adjusting 3-6 also1) First adjust only the number two clip, join all 6 and see how it plays

2) If necessary, also adjust ONLY the number three clip (Likely in the opposite direction of the adjustment you made to the number two clip)
