Hey, I got this message when I was rebuilding the davinci code. I tried one more time and got the exact same message at the same place. The full error message is attached as the JPG and I also will attach the log file. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks Guys

I'd guess you are using DVDFab Decrypter. There is a bug in several versions of that software that caused that error. The bug goes beyond just DVD-RB... the entire ripped disc's VOBID/CELLID set was renumbered incorrectly. It was fixed in v3.0.3.8 I believe. Of course it's possible it may have cropped up again.

I'd suggest trying RipIt4Me (freeware) or going back to DVDFab 2.9 -- it was very stable.

I personally use AnyDVD and have never had a problem with a single disc -- but it costs money.

I actually did use RipIt4Me. I will try to rerip it with RipIt4Me again to see if it resolves the problem.

The error you are seeing means that one of the cells referenced in the IFO does not exist in the VOB. That would almost assuredly be a ripping problem. Is this the NTSC version of DaVinci? If so, I have ripped it myself and it should work.

It's possible that a smudge or scratch on the source caused a read error and a small cell was "blanked" during the rip.

I cleaned the disc of as well because I was thinking that it might be dirty. There really wasn't anything on it that would cause anything like that imo. I am going to try ripping it with DVDFab and see if that will do it for me. If not maybe I couold try what you were talking about it even though I would have to buy it. If it is good and worth the money that is.

And yeah to answer yuor question it is the NTSC version.
Did you use AnyDVD for it when you did it?

Yes. I normally use AnyDVD. I like its simplicity and reliability. I usually use DVD Decrypter over AnyDVD simply to save it as an ISO. When doing it this way Decrypter pretty much does nothing but reading since the disc is already decrypted by AnyDVD.

Just to check that I understand how AnyDVD works. You install it and it removes the decryption automatically from a DVD that you put in your drive. So that way if there is a disc that DVD Decrypter cannot decrypt because of its encryption, it will no be able to just pretty much copy the disc to an iso because AnyDVD has already decypted the encrypted material.

Thanks for all yor answers jdobbs

Yes. In fact you can just turn all the decryption settings off in DVD Decrypter if you want to.

One other thing you can do with AnyDVD is just skip the entire ripping step. You can point DVD Rebuilder directly to the DVD Drive (because it's decrypted on-the-fly) and let it run. Just a warning, though, depending upon the drive specifications you may see some speed impact. But it can certainly cut down on the hard drive space requirement.

I downloaded AnyDVD since they have a 21 day trial and it worked great. Went through the whole movie without any problems. Worked very good.

Thans for the help.
