I want convert mpeg2 to divx using vdubmod. I used to encode dvds to divx using gordian knot but, I know nothing about avs scripting. I refered to this tutorial(http://www.tech-forums.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62779)

and I have some questions..
how can I set the file size, the number of pass and interleaving&avi-overhead?

how can I apply input setting as pal and Input pixel aspect ratio as pal non anamorphic (4:3) on vdubmod?

Thanks.

Sounds like you know nothing about VirtualDubMod.

The file size is determined by the bitrate you select. This can be accessed by clicking Video - Compression select the DivX codec and click configure. I still use gordian knot as a calculator for the bitrate including audio and avi overhead. You could also use Nic's MiniCalc that comes with the xvid installer.

For audio interleaving click Streams - Stream list and right click on the audio track. The default in VDubMod does not need to be changed.

The input will be pal if the source file is pal but if you want to make an NTSC file into a pal file first try the inverse telecine options under frame rate in the video menu or Ctrl-R. \

The pixel aspect ratio will be the same as the source unless you change it with a filter (like resizing or some deinterlacing).
