I have come across this error a few times now and thought I would ask if anyone else has seen it or knows how to fix it.
When I load the disk in Clone dvd2 the viewing screen goes black and the following error comes up in green
Invalid block start code
One or more blocks might be corrupted by a prior copying process or by the sorce device covering critical read errors.
Try copying the video files to your harddrive (again) and retry.
(PS 10 VOBU 4 621 8 PictureReader)
Any ideas would be great
Thanks

Are you trying to load the video directly from the disk? CloneDVD2 cannot work with the encrypted data, so the disk must first be ripped to your hard drive.

I am trying to load directly from the disk as it has worked without problems before, when i try to rip it to my hard drive with decryptor it also comes up with an error and wont work either it is only on some disks but seems to be on more and more as of lately.

Hi!
Sounds like you're running into newer versions of "ARccOS" and/or "RipGuard" copy protection, that your current software is not able to process.
Try ripping your DVD(s) using the easy to use "RipIt4me" package (Incorporates RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink). You can download this excellent freeware from:
www.ripit4me.org
While you're at that site, read the excellent "how to" tutorial...

hi pricey74 and welcome to the forum!
i would highly reccomend that you try ripit4me, which can handle the latest ARccOS and RipGuard DVD protection schemes which dvd decrypter cannot.
you can find the program here:
http://www.ripit4me.org/
you should also have a look at the tutorial while you are there.
