Converting VOBs to MP4 format

Just picking this stuff up - so take it easy on me.

I would like to convert my ripped DVD VOBs to mp4 format. I'm researching various methods to convert using the Xvid guies on Doom9. The instructions typically begin with Decrypter (which is looking for a dvd) - in my case I've already ripped the files using dvd decrypter and dvd shrink - producing my VOBs. So how can I get get past the dvd decrypter stage and move into AutoGK or the like to produce an mp4 file? Ultimately I want to stream the files to my D-Link DSM320.

If you still haven't do that successful,you can try winavi mp4 (http://www.winavi.com/avi-to-mp4.htm) video converter.Maybe that can help you.
