I've got a Divx file that plays just fine on WMP 10 but when I put the file on my Archos player it doesn't have any audio.

WMP 10 properties says

Audio Codec: AC3Filter

Video: DivX Decoder Filter

Any idea's on what is happening here?

Regards,

Roveer

I think I just found my problem...

Archos does NOT support AC3 (I believe).

Is there any way to convert my audio in my Divx movie to something else that archos does support?

Your audio is AC3, which most (but not all) Archos devices can deal with. Their tech specs for their players which support it say "AC3 Stereo" which I would assume means dd 2.0ch or 2.1ch. I would not necessarily assume it also means an automatic downmix of dd5.1ch, but it should.

I will move this to our hardware players forum where you may find people more familiar with their players.

You might consider posting your specific model, or at least, looking up its specifications. Not every model supports AC3 audio. the Gmini 402, for example, does not list AC3 in its audio specs.

If you don't get sufficient help here in the next few days, consider contacting Archos for support.
