Hi all,

Very much a newbie I am afraid. Limited use of DVDShrink and DVD Decrypter only.

My son is doing a project on Donnie Darko and would like to have two short pieces of video and audio as part of a Powerpoint presentation. I have extracted the pieces of the video into several VOB files using DVD Shrink's re-authoring tool but not sure what to do now. I would like to edit the video so that I can fade in and out and remove a piece from the middle. I then need to convert it to a format which can be used in Powerpoint on a standard PC without any fancy codecs etc.

As this is likely to be just a single project I was hoping to use shareware / freeware if possible.

Appreciate your advice.

Regards,

Allan

VirtualDubMod can convert the video to .JPG images which you can load directly into PowerPoint. As far as the heavier editing, I don't know of any freeware software than can do fade-ins/outs.

Thanks CWRO3. Managed to use DVD Shrink to capture the snippets using its re-authoring function and then edit using a trial version of Ulead studio. Thanks again.
