Sorry if it is the wrong place to ask this, please move to the right place if its not.

I made lots of avi to svcds conversions, but now a friend of mine wants to convert a dvd into an avi file to edit it in Adobe Premiere.

Whats the best program for such task ??

A tutorial would be nice too.

PS. I tried AoA Ripper but its appearing "trails" when there is a fast moviment, and i just wondered how people can get such awesome qualities in DVD rips that are found in the internet.

Your friend can purchase the MPEG-2 plugin for Adobe Premiere, then he/she should be able to edit a .VOB ripped from the disk.

can someone just give a name of a program, wtf...

i use Vdub mpeg2(better invention after the wheel),
tmpg and flask are suitable as well.

there is some free all in one, never used those.
