can't install IE7.

every time i try to install the final version of IE7 i get an error message that says"installation cannot complete.please reboot to undo any changes made to your system".and it puts a trouble shooting guide on my desktop.i have even tried safemode but it still won't install.i had no problems with the rc1 beta version.any ideas ?.

Presumably you're using Vista. Here's a tip. DON'T INSTALL IE7!!! ;) I think what your problem is, is a case of Microsoft preventing software installing on RC1, so either get the full version of Vista when it's around, or use Firefox instead. ;)

It's really not worth upgrading, unless you're a Microsoft fanboy. There are security flaws that will be exploited, IE6 is secure enough at the moment for general use, and for total peace of mind, you really should be using FF1.5 (FF2 has a few bugs at the moment).

Well, for those applications that need IE, IE7 is the better choice than IE6, regardless of whether you use Firefox as your primary browser (I do) or not (and especially if you do.. since you'll already be used to tabs).

Yeah, IE is useful for IE optimized pages. My router for example won't save any settings unless I use Internet Explorer. And then IE7 has that tab-browsing and that search-bar like Firefox, so it's really ideal for me.
