OK. The problem seems to be with MPlex.
If you check the free disc space after each stage, the encoded video is several GB but the muxed file is only several hundred MB

There should be an MPlex log file in the DVD2SVCD directory. Could you please post that?

Alternatively, looking at the free disk space before and after ripping, it appears the ripped vobs are 3900MB, which would fit on a disc without recompression. If this is correct, you could re-rip the whole disc and use DVD Shrink in Reauthor mode to make a movie-only backup without re-encoding.

Nick I think I know it will work if I only backup the disc using dvd shrink but the movie contains a multiangle. When I pulled one of the angles of the movie out, it turns out to lag when it is backed up....I also tried backuping the full disc but the same thing occured...Thats why i switched to using DVD2SVCD. Hope it could slove the problem~ thanks

The problem is that multiplexing stops part-way into the movie due to a fault in one of the AC3 audio streams.

There is a tool called AC3fix - do a google - which you can run on the audio files listed at the top of the MPlex log, then recover DVD2SVCD from muxing and cutting.

It might work but I can't imagine why an AC3 stream read from a DVD should be broken.

Sorri Nick i didn't use the prggram...but i found out that even if i deselected the stream when i re-encoded the movie, it still didn't work and the problem came up on the stream before...Its so complicted...hahaha....Btw do you know a way if i can just completely like merge one angle and export it just as a movie??
