Hello,
I want a DVD recorder and I was thinking of the Panasonic DMREZ25EB which has a freeview tuner. At the moment I record digital TV on my PC and the size of the MPEG2 file created reflects the bitrate transmitted. In the manual for the recorder they talk about SP LP and XP when selecting the quality of the file recorded. This implies they decode the digital signal before recoding it at the bitrate you've selected. Does anyone know a recorder that doesn't muck about with the signal ?
