I am having troubles burning an AVI file to a DVD - using Toast. Program is telling me that my file is too large for the space on my blank DVD. I have been told that I need to convert my AVI file to an ISO file so that I can compress the file and make it fit onto the DVD. If this is the case, can someone recommend a program for MAC that will do this?

Thank you.

Thank you for your concern.
I have read the forum rules and this is NOT a duplicate post. I am asking for a recommendation on a program that I can use on a MAC to convert these file types.

Not to belabor the point (too much) but, this is your other post, referring to using the same MAC-only software:Hi
I have a movie in AVI format that I am trying to burn to DVD using Toast v6. When I insert my blank dvd - program tells me that my AVI file is too large for the available space on my dvd. How can I resolve this issue? Is there a way to compress the AVI - but still make it readable on a DVD player?

I have ripped AVI's to DVD's in the past using Toast - however they must've been smaller file sizes because I did not get this error.

Thanks for your help!Since you're new to the Doom9 forums, I was just trying to offer you some friendly advice...

@jmstipe

We generally prefer to continue an existing thread if it is basically the same problem, as it appears in this case. But no big deal. Welcome to the forum!
