I am using Auto Gk 2.37b and I tried with Auto Gk 2.27 stable version as well.........but I am encountering the same problem. One file works in the Philips DVP642 DIVX/DVD player and the other does not; the 1st cd does not work on the standalone player but the 2nd cd works. I am trying to do 1400MB DVDrip.

-----------------------------------------
My standalone player recognizes the 2nd file but does not read the 1st cd. The ripping goes all fine it's just the splitting part. I made 700mb version of the same movie. The movie is of course not that clear when watched in the pc but in the dvd player it looks awesome. So I guess the splitting part has to be fixed in Auto GK.
------------------------------------------

1st cd: Interleave - 96 ms (2.9 v. frames), preload 32
2nd cd: Interleave - 96 ms (2.9 v. frames), preload 96

--------------------------------------------

Okay it looks like Auto Gk in my case is making mistake while splitting the file into 2. According to the GSPOT when the files are splitted I should get:
Audio frames: ALigned on interleaves.
but I am getting
1st cd:
Interleave - 96 ms (2.9 v. frames), preload 32
Audio frames: Split across interleaves.
2nd cd:
Interleave - 96 ms (2.9 v. frames), preload 96
Audio frames: Split across interleaves.

----------------------------------------------------
enabled standalone support as well but it did not work! For some reason the 1st cd is not being played on the player. The 2nd cd plays very well.
-----------------------------------------------------
opened the file that's not playing in the virtualDubMod, set the setting video->direct stream copy , audio->direct stream copy and saved it and it did not work either
-------------------------------------------------------
I am curious why Auto Gk is not being able to split the files properly. :( techGurus can you please help!

Like what?
Like your logfile from the problem encode, as BigDid said. It is the only way to tell what went wrong. If you deleted it already, you'll just have to encode it again and see if it works next time.
