Which method gives the best result:
GordianKnot or VirtualDub & VFAPI?
Is there any big difference between them?
I tried them both and I think the result look the same.
I hope someone can give me an answer.
Thanks

the quality difference between ALL rather good DVD->AVI solutions should be so small that you won't notice. The major difference is speed. The Gordian Knot way is the fastest.

It is?
When I read the DivX4 Codec guides on doom9's page they seem to be different.

GordianKnot for DivX 4 IS VIRTUALDUB & VFAPI!
Wrong. GordianKnot always uses AviSynth as frame server. It uses VirtualDub for DivX4 encoding and Nandub for DivX3.11 encoding. So you were at least half on the right way ( DivX4 -> VDub ), but GordianKnot doesn't use VFAPI.
