Hello there. I got some DVB rips in mpeg-2 .TS format and I would liek to convert them to VC-1 for playback in xbox360. These files are usually 4-6gb in size, and taking advantage of the higher compression rate of VC-1 I hope I can fit 2 such files in a single layer DVD in VC-1 format.

The problem is, how to do it...
I have tried the windows media encoder, and also the advanced suite (that won't even take mpeg-2 as a source!) without much luck.

I then tried canopus procoder 2 but the video freezes after a few frames of encoding... and I am kind of stuck now.

Any help please?

I would suggest you to use standard DVD backup solution: DGMPGDec -> AviSynth. But then instead of VirtualDub and XviD codec use WMNicEnc.
