i dont know where to begin, but ill try anyway

[Movie info]
Title: Terror Firmer
Movie length 1:54:40
AR 4:3 (1.33:1)
NTSC
Sound 224
i dont use any pict whatsoever

i chose to make this one a 6-pass,3 cd 74 min and to override yer bitrate calc(i always do), CCE didnt complain even though the bitrate was 2419.( i use 2450 as max)

the problems:

1. i chose to rip the 1:54:40 version but DVD2SVCD choose the 2:10 version(its the dir cut, and i dont want that one).
2. SSRC screwed up. the SSRC encoded audiofile is only 1:26!
3. bbMPEG totally screwed up. i manually stopped it when it was going to make the 8th CD!!! wtf was that about???

i have been using DVD2SVCD since DVD2SVCD 1.0.2 build 1, and this is the first time i have had any problem (except for the interlace problem, that started with 1.0.4 Build 2).

as u can understand i need help

cheers

first I tried a 20 pass once for the hell of it since I had all weekend to let my computer do it. Well it crashed at dvd2avi..so bottomline don't exceed 5 pass. No reason (in my view) to exceed 4 pass.

1) use smartripper instead
2) why use SSRC? choose NONE..waste 2KB per cd lol.
3) when you find out let us know

realize it's changing drastically recently so it might not be as stable as it once was... minus i-author, added ssrc, dvd original chapters, and a whole slew of other features.

6-pass is my default. time is something i have plenty of.

No i will not use Smartripper, vstrip has always done the job for me, i rather use DVD Decrypter

i used SSRC cos' i have never used it before and wanted to know if it was any good. And about choosing NONE, that is not an option for me (again dont ask)

ok..that clarifies things. I only tried ssrc once and it worked just fine for me. Not sure what could be the problem there. And the part about having can't use NONE don't ask. Don't worry I don't have too I already know the reason 99% sure.

9 pass that's good to know..I had no clue. Not sure...I left it ripping at work over the weekend and was ticked off too much to even look at the log. dvd2avi was stuck at 100% CPU for like 86 hours...LOL.
