Panasonic S35 Not Playing DL +R Backups

I've made some DVD Movie backup disks on Memorex DL +R media from a spindle and they play nicely on a fairly new Phillips player but not on my Panasonic S35. Any ideas why they don't play on the Panasonic?

Hi Rippraff,

I'm really concerned with two different issues, a burning issue and a player issue-- although I'm glad you pointed to that other thread because they might be related--I suppose I should have mentioned that. To wit and for those who didn't see my post in the Burning forum, I'm getting verify errors on most of my DL backups.

However, if that is why my Panasonic S35 player won't play my Double Layer backups, any idea why my Phillips 5140 player will?

Edit: I finally got a DL that verified without any errors and it played on the Panasonic up to about the middle, I suspect that would be the layer break, and it hung up there and wouldn't go any further. The Pana also wouldn't jump to any scenes later than that point.
