I was trying to rip 2 espodes off of a DVD that was badly scratched. After ripping them (which took 50 hours total), and encoded them in AGK, at several points, the video gets all blocky (which I under stand because of the extent of the scratching) and the audio skips (again due to the scratching), but after those parts, the audio is about a minute out of sink (ahead 1 min). How would the best way to re-sink the audio after the messed-up video portions? Thanks.

hmm. looks like if it goes out by a minute, you'll be missing a minute of footage.
you can manually sync in an audio editing program, and then apply the cuts with besplit or some other ac3 cutting tool, but that'll take ages and you'll end up with a cut up movie.
you could have a few more goes at ripping the disc - different drives, computers even. if that fails, get some toothpaste out and have a go at the scratched side with that - that's saved my arse a couple of times.

Some toothpaste LOL ! Call me snow-white whenever you want :D
I know of some specialy designed lotion that you rub on the disc: it works like a resine that inserts itself into the scratches and lets the laser beam through it without disturbing the laser (in fact I'll need to buy that sort or thing 'coz I've got quite a number of scratched CD's ...).
What's in your toothpaste that might do the trick ? :p Do we need to use the brush on it too ? Or is it just a matter or rubbing it inside the scratches with a cloth or wet fingers ?

Sorry for possible offtopic, but what do you do with toothpaste? Do you use toothbrush or do something else? ^^
UPD: I asked on the IRC, they said one is to use a piece of cloth for that. Toothpaste acts like polisher (not sure if this is a correct word)
