Does anyone have problems making a duplicate copy of X-men The Last Stand? I have used DVD Shrink and DVDFab and get the cyclic redundancy error. I even get the error using DVD Shrink with AnyDVD. I am wondering if the disc is bad. There are no mars or scratches on the disc. Is there a new protection out there.

@flier
Hi!
The Region 1 version of this DVD has no newer copy protection whatsoever. It can be properly ripped by DVD Decrypter alone, or DVD Shrink, or virtually ANY ripping program.
I'd suggest you return it in exchange for a new replacement...

I returned the DVD and it backed up just fine using Shrink. Thanks for replying.

Glad to hear that worked out for you ;>}
Unfortunately, it seems that bad pressings are becoming all too common...

I agree that bad pressings are becoming more common and we are seeing this on the US version of Da Vinci Code.
Anyone having trouble ripping this one, I'd return it for an exchange. Even if the disk looks in pristine condition.
