View Full Version : Losing Menu and Extras

Movie: 8 Below, USA
Ran a Full Backup through RB Pro in One Click Mode with ImgBrn Directly to Disk. The result is I don't have any Menu or Extras. I ran it though 2 or 3 times with the same result.
I can open the RB Destination Folder with DVDShrink and see the Menu and Extras. Everything is at 100% in this view because the reduction is already done.
I did run this through VobBlanker and MenuShrink so I know RBPro can't be responsible for something they might have done to upset the project, but any ideas what might be wrong since I can see the result in Shrink?

Perhaps a log and your INI file will help.

Removing menus and extras is not a simple thing -- and isn't something that happens "accidentally". If they weren't removed by the preprocessing or by choice in DVD-RB the disc simply wouldn't work.
There are many discs that go straight to the feature from start up without running the menu first -- and the only way you get to the menu is by pushing the "menu" button from within the movie. Is it possible this is one of those? How does the original behave?
I'll pick up "8 Below" and give it a test.

@jdobbs - 8Below goes to a menu first after a 9 seconds intro about something and a whopping 6 minute trailer, I guess.
@TomBrooklyn - most of the extras are in VTS 3, 4 and 5. You have already confirmed you can see these titlesets on your DVDRB output, so it's probably just a navigational thing. But you might like to check that you have have sizeable VOBs for these VTSs.

Hi,
I gave up on trying to get the menus and extras included with this movie. I just burned the movie. Regards.
