possible to convert a ntsc to pal dvd ?

Hi,

a friend of mine lent me a movie, but unfortunately he bought it as NTSC format while my standalone dvd player supports only PAL. is there any possibility how I could "convert" the dvd to have it played on my pal player ?

I can think of three different things you could have done, in order to view the specific DVD title, rather than posting your question (that is so obviously in violation of the rules of these forums - and has nothing to do with "DVD burning"):

1) Watch your friend's DVD at his/her house, or

2) Purchase the DVD in PAL format, or

3) Rent the DVD in PAL format

(Unless, perhaps, you don't realize that this is just another sub-forum of the "Doom9's Forum", subject to the same rules that have previously been quoted to you)
