View Full Version : ImgBrn Not Recognizing File Rip

Ripped a movie with RipIt3Me in File Mode and am trying to burn it to a DL +R without compression with ImgBrn.

I ran the output through VobBlanker to get rid of one tiny unrefrenced piece.

ImgBrn won't recognize either the untreated or the VobBlanker treated files.

Any ideas what I could check for/do to make this work.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi! have you selected "Build Mode"?
Hi setarip. I'm having a bit of trouble or maybe it's confusion with that.

In Build mode, under Source, the little drop down box only offered me the choice of selecting C:\RBDESTINATION\DVDFILES or E:\RBDESTINATION\DVDFILES. C and E are my two hard drives and I've been using RBPro for all my backups lately.

In the big box below that, I used the second button down, "Browse for a folder..." and entered the folder name (Flightplan) where I put the VobBlanker output.

When I click the big "Write" button, I get a Pop Up Window that says:

You've only selected one folder, containing just DVD Video files!

Does the 'Flightplan' folder represent what should be a 'VIDEO_TS' folder in the root directory of the image?

(Otherwise, the 'Flightplan' will be visible in the root directory of the image.)

I don't see a VIDEO_TS or AUDIO_TS folder like I have in the past using DVDD without Ripit4Me. There is a VIDEO TS.BUP AND VIDEO TS.VOB files though (with blank spaces instead of underscores.)

On a related note: I haven't used build mode before. Are there any recommended Settings for this application different from the defaults?

If RipIt4Me didn't give you an AUDIO_TS folder then just create an empty AUDIO_TS folder at the same level as your VIDEO_TS folder (probably inside Flightplan folder. Then just add the empty AUDIO_TS folder to your compilation the same way you added the VIDEO_TS folder. Note, your DVD should contain VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders in the root.

Or, an easier way would be once you have the Flightplan folder open in Windows Explorer, drag and drop the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to the big empty box in ImgBurn where the files you want to burn go.

Hmm, I just remembered the default settings in RipIt4Me doesn't give you a VIDEO_TS folder. Make sure you have the Include VIDEO_TS option checked when ripping.

In the meantime, create a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder inside your Flightplan folder. Move all the files in your Flightplan folder to the newly created VIDEO_TS folder. Then add both VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders inside Flightplan folder to your build/compilation using either of the above-mentioned methods.

The drop down box just remembers (sometimes!) the last folders you used.

It's not a definitive list of what you can use as a source folder!

Just type in the new name of the folder manually (it will auto-complete it where it can) and press the '+' button or use the browse for file / folder buttons.
You can also drag + drop the folder or copy + paste it via explorer.

If you don't know how to use Build mode, I'd like to suggest you visit the ImgBurn forum are read the guides we've put together.

I can assure you that it's not rocket science and you're making it harder than it actually is :)

Hi UK,
This is the first time I'm trying to burn to a DL Disk and using Build mode. I'll check out the guides. Thanks.

Hi ilovejedd,
Ya. I think that's it. I checked that create VIDEO_TS Folder box for the future, and in the meantime created it manually and dropped all the files in there. I also created an AUDIO_TS folder and put that in the box to build from. I fired ImgBrn up and it's cooking now.

As I was setting it up, I saw something along the way that asked if I wanted to create an AUDIO_TS folder. I didn't check it as I had already created one manually and stuck it in.

Will find results shortly I think.

Thanks a bunch. Great help.

Cheers.
