Hi all.

I'm looking to convert a series of bitmap images (frames) into video format. I also need capability to compress them during encode (if possible) because I have about 2,500 images 3.75MB in size.

Anyone can help me with this?

TIA

Look up the docs for ImageReader/ImageSource.

Thanks for that.

I managed to create an avs script and load it in Media Player Classic.

However I am having issues with playback speed. It only plays back at around 11 fps real time, but my target is 30 fps. My guess is that it is likely an hard drive bottleneck.

Whats the next step converting this into an avi file that will play back at 30 fps, say compressed with xvid or ffdshow? Any particular method and/or tools you recommend?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Make sure you have Xvid installed, and load the .AVS file up in VirtualDub. Go to Video--->Fast Recompress and Video--Compression. Choose XVID. Voila.

Excellent! I will try that and get back to you with the results.

Thanks Pookie.

That worked out real nice. Thank you :)

Now I'm thinking of adding in some audio. Would you recommend VirtualDub for this as well?
