Hi there,
I have a Shuttle ST20G5 and rather nattily, it has toslink input and output, and the Realtek drivers allow me to capture stereo over the optical cable from within VirtualDub. It identifies the device as 'Realtek HD Digital input'.
I'm looking for a soundcard for a 'proper' desktop PC that will do the same job, that is recognised by VirtualDub and has Toslink optical input and output.
The only card I have found that meets the description is this one: http://www.bluegears.com/b-Enspirer.html
It has the required input/output but according to someone who owns it, VirtualDub sees no audio capturing options for it, so either the driver isn't installed properly or else, more likely, VirtualDub can't lock on to it.
Also I can't buy it in the UK any way, so it's a bit of a dead loss any way!
Can any one help?
