Best bin/cue burner?

I've been looking all over for a bin/cue writer for a while. I'm on WinXP on 2 systems. One with a TDK 241040 and the other has a Yamaha 2100e 16X. Both cdrwin and fireburner HATE both burners. Only thing I've found Blindwrite is the only software that is usable with these 2 burners. But I have run into some problems even with Blindwrite. Once in a while it locks out the TDK. I have to power down the system and bring it back up to use the burner again. As for the Yamaha, for some reason on that system, After 6-8 burns, my system memory is gone and the system needs rebooted. If anyone else has had this issue with these 2 burners and found anything else that works. Please let me know.

I voted for cdrdao because it does its job very well & it is free (for the command-line impaired, there is also a GUI frontend) ... CDRwin comes in a very close second.
Haven't tried Blindwrite, Nero is (was?) a nightmare for burning (S)VCD bin/cues, and Fireburner has failed to ever burn a single bin/cue without crashing (tried on a total of three Yamaha and Liteon drives on various platforms).

I like to burn cue/bin files using CDRWIN 4.0Beta. It is small and robust to me.

Looks like every user/PC has its own winning combinaison cos for me CDRWin did nothing else than failing.
So, if I could vote for 2 burnersofts I would have put my 2 cents on FireBurner v2.1.2 and Nero 5.5.6.4 (both work great for me burner = Plex1210 and my standalone DVD players = Tokai715S).
But finally, I vote for the one that I am currently using = Nero 5564 (not any previous versions, of course).

I think alot of it depends on what works for the users also.. i used to use cdrwin when it worked on my drive.. then i bought a new drive and even though on its page it says it supports it.. It won't list it.. the only thing that works for me now is Fireburner when dealing with bin/cue's the newest nero gives me some weird ass error about not being able to cache files.. even when i was testing on a 200mb cue/bin file and drive has over 4 gigs free space..

I always used CDRWin 4.0a, but my new burner isn't supported :-(
So I'm trying right now some new way, (DeamonTools+Nero). I hope there is soon CDRwin 4.1 with support for my burner.

Daemon Tools 2.88 (Mount a Phantom CD) + Nero (CD Copy - whatever version) has always (OK, for 3 months now...)done it for me flawlessly...... so far :)

I've used to burn my svcd with CDRDAO without verifying the films. What a suprise, half of them was unworkable. :(((((

So I started to use BLINDWRITE (with the same cue and bin file that does not work with CDRDAO) and it works just fine for me.

DVD2SVCD: Thanks for picking up on the suggestion to do this poll.

I set DVD2SVCD to NOT create the images.
The most success I have had has been with Bin/Cue images made on my own using the latest VCDEasy version (1.05) front end for both VCDImager 0.7.11 and CDRDAO 1.1.5, making usually 9 equidistant chapters with keypad control. I burn with VCDEasy as the frontend for CDRDAO at max burning speed with buffers set at 64. DDogg's CDRDAO.bat method would work as well but is not needed. CDR burner is a Cendyne (Ricoh RW7063 A) 6x4x32.

The SVCD discs are recognized as SVCD compliant and play flawlessly on my GE 1101 standalone and on WinDVD 3.0 multichannel.

1st you must have version 5.5.6.4 or later. You go to file, burn image, then the common dialog box will open, you select you cue file, and burn. That's all Folks :)

Nero 5.5.6.4 still fails for me. It complains that the first image DVD2SVCD creates (800+MB one) is too big for my 80 minutes CDR medium and refuse to burn. I used "disc-at-once" and "just-link" option. So far I have not found any program to burn cue/bin on my Samsung writer. I will try BlindWrite. It is the last one I have not tried.

You might also try installing DaemonTools, and then use disc-to-disc copying. You can get DaemonTools here (http://www.daemon-tools.com) (it's freeware)

i had the same trouble with nero as you James. Im now using Blindwrite & it works like a dream:)

Use FantomCD. Cheap, doubles as a CD emulator but burns directly without having to use a disc-copy program. Worked where Fireburner didn't even see my CD Writer under XP or under 2000 where Fireburner couldn't use my 24x Sony CRX175A and Nero gave me error messages.

The most robut BIN/CUE burner that I have seen.

They are now coming out with a mastering version as well.

In your nero options turn on the overburning capability. You will be able to burn the larger images fine if you have a good burner.
