Has anyone experienced any odd or unexpected results regarding missing audio w/ version 1.12 ?
I've been using DVD-RB Pro for ages and have never experienced any problems or unexpected results. After upgrading to v1.12 yesterday I attempted to backup two different films, both with the same result - there is no audio. I've been through every menu setting as well as reinstalling v1.12, still no audio.
Out of curiosity I loaded DVD-RB's finished file into both Shrink and Recode and both of those programs show that the audio track is 0 kb in length. I'm using the HC encoder - is there any other relevent info I can supply?
Thanks for any insights.

Are you keeping DTS as your only track? If so, there's a bug fix being released as v1.12.1. The notice is being mailed out, but you can get it immediately by clicking on the HELP menu in DVD-RB Pro and selecting "Check Latest Version".

Also, this probably doesn't apply to you but I thought I'd mention it. There also is a known bug in the patching mechanism used to create cracked versions of DVD-RB Pro that causes audio to be skipped during REBUILD. I know it has happened to versions in the past. For those who are tempted to rip off my hard work -- please just download the freeware version at www.jdobbs.com. It's much more stable than those cracks and can save you hours of wasted time. Of course another option might be to simply donate the minimum amount for the Pro version and you'll be helping out in keeping the software alive and improving. Believe me, the donations I get are few and aren't making me rich by any stretch of the imagination.
The last thing I want to do is waste countless hours writing code for trying to protect the software against ripoffs when I'd rather work on things like iPod, H.264 and XviD output, HD modules, and authoring preprocessors (all in the works).

Thanks for your immediate response (as always!)
No, I wasn't keeping DTS as the only track - in fact I had the box for "remove DTS" checked. I installed v 1.12.1 then ran it on a 10 minute edited segment from one of the films I had the problem with and it worked properly - the sound was present. I'll redo both movies tonight in full and report back.
Thanks much.

ver 1.12.1 seems to have have solved the problem. Both films now have audio that is working properly. Thanks again for the immediate attention.

I'll be honest with you -- other than the DTS/LPCM fix nothing changed in v1.12.1... so I'm perplexed. But as long as it works, cool.
