i've encoded the movie Gladiator many times with DVD-RB before as its a good test DVD for me. with previous versions of DVD-RB, i ALWAYS used CCETargetSectors=2254000 and HCTargetSectors=2263000 and i would always get an a compression percentage of about 63-64%. i just upgraded to v1.12 and i tried encoding Gladiator with the same TargetSectors values but the percentage is now ~77% and the average calculated bitrate is also about 800-900 higher for both HC and CCE. i also tried deleting my TargetSectors values (leaving it default) but it was something like 76% compression.
anyone else notice this, or is it just me?
i'm encoding the video now anyways; ill report back if its oversized or not.
edit: no, its not oversized. but the calculated bitrate and the compression percentage is higher than it was with previous versions of DVD-RB.

were you using DVD-RB to remove unwanted audio? I see in the fixes that audio is listed. Maybe it found extra space there.

well, i found out its because DVD-RB keeps removing my audio. i pre-processed my DVD keeping DTS only. this is the same pre-processed DVD i fed to previous versions of DVD-RB Pro and there were no problems.
the audio track shows up... i dont know why its excluding the DTS track when it starts encoding.
ill try ripping the movie again but keeping all the audio tracks this time and remove them within DVD-RB. but i still don't see why its not working now.

i re-ripped the movie keeping all the audio tracks and deselected all but DTS within DVD-RB, but it STILL excludes DTS when it encodes. i selected DD 5.1 and it worked ok.
hmm.. possible bug?

I'm looking at it.

I've created an interim release (v1.12.1) to fix this. It was a bug in the new audio selection code and could affect DTS or LPCM tracks. The notice is being mailed out, but you can get it immediately by clicking on the HELP menu in DVD-RB Pro and selecting "Check Latest Version".

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the glitch. I test as thoroughly as possible -- but every now and then something will still slip through.
