Playing back Terminator 2 HD

I just bought the DVD box with the HD disc. I cannot play back it.
It says I need WMP9, I have WMV10 which sais it's corrupt and send me to M$ web site for WMP11.

.wmv files are hidden deep in the DVD. They don't playback in MPC.
Is there an easy way to play them?

You mean you have WMP10 installed?

They're DRM protected. MPC doesn't implement any WM DRM support.

I have WMP10. After I accepted the license it said that it was not correctly installed and pop me to get WMP11.

I believe you have to install the interactual player first

I did, but I got in a menu loop and couldn't start the actual movie.
This is so BS.

I have this disc too... But as I live in the UK I'm unable to obtain a licence to play it :devil:

you're right about menu loop, maybe uninstall 10, then install 9 off of disk?

If you had series 9 before you can rollback from 10 to 9
so uninstalled interactual player
rolled back to 9
reinstalled interactual player
hd plays fine now

if you go from 10 -11 ?
when you rollback it goes to previous ver., so i'd assume
11- 10. logic would say you could then go from 10-9 . have to try it though

Actually, the T2 DVD was never intended for WMP playback, despite the fact that it's a .wmv file. See the Interactual FAQ for yourself: http://player.interactual.com/help/support/articles/0134.asp.

If there are issues with T2 playback after WMP10 or WMP11 upgrade, it's probably best to contact InteraActual.

Edit: Apparently WMP10 playback problems are a known issue. Interactual has long ago released a patch: http://download.interactual.com/patches/player20/t2patch.exe.
