mpeg4 audio playback?

I Tried making some mpeg4-audio files in quenc but i can't seem to figure out how to play them back.

I believe mp4 audio is supposed to be stored in a mpeg4 container in a similar way to how mpeg2 system streams work.

So I would assume I need something to undo the multiplexing then a AAC? decoder. I would like to be able to play them in windows media player or media player classic.
