I have two seperate films that I want to join into one film. So I have 2 h264 MP4s (Part1.mp4 and Part2.mp4) and their soundtracks (Part1.ac3 and Part2.ac3). I want to mux it into one matroska container so it will playback seamlessly.

So should I make two seperate matroska files for Part1 and Part2 then join them? If so, what's the best way?

Or can matroska do it all in one go? If so, how?

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

I think you can do it in one operation :
Launch mmg, add your part1.mp4, then append part2.mp4, then add part1.ac3, then append part2.ac3 :)

Oh yes, I missed the append button. Thanks!

Using append worked but unfortunately my source wasn't perfect. The video for part 1 for about 1 second longer than the audio for part 1. This meant that the audio for part 2 was out of sync by 1 second. I managed to get it joined by muxing the parts separately and then joining with AVI-Mux but a more ideal solution would be to chop the extra second off the video. Is there a tool like VirtualDub that supports MP4?

You can add a delay for the second track, in mmg
