Hi,
I would like to ask you something about my sound card. I have the Aureon Fun 5.1
This card supports an S/P-DIF optical output. I connect the card with my DENON receiver(via an optical fiber) and i play a film(which supports DTS or Dolby Digital sound). The result had to be the full transfer of Dolby Digital or DTS sound. But the result is the full transfer of PCM sound! Also, in the control panel of the sound card, sais that the S-P/DIF output works only on earphone and 2 speaker mode! So, if i select that i have 6 speakers, the S-P/DIF output is being disabled! The receiver always sais that the signal is PCM and the LEDs for DTS and Dolby Digital are never lighting.
The Terratec's site sais that the connection must be with a TOS link optical fiber(i have a simple optical fiber).
I had read an old thread and i saw a reply from the user KURT who said that he transfered full digital signal through S/P-DIF using Aureon 5.1 pci sound card.
I am asking you to help me in order to transfer full Dolby Digital or DTS signal.
