I'm trying to rip individual audio channels (Front, Left, Right, ect) from a television episode dvd.

In the past, I've been using SmartRipper to get the .vob, then besweet to rip the separate audio channels. SmartRipper apparantly can't read the new dvds, or maybe just can't read this one (Lost season 2 disc 6).

I've been using a variety of programs to rip the specifc episode chapter into .vob, but none of the programs to swtich vob->audio file work. I ripped the dvd using DVDFab, but everytime I try to extract the audio, I get a file with no data.

I really would not like to shell out $30 if the program doesn't work, so a freeware solution would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

Try ripping your DVD(s) using the easy to use "RipIt4me" package. You can download this excellent freeware from:

www.ripit4me.org

While you're at that site, read the excellent "how to" tutorial...

Ripped fine, but I can't get besweet to recognize any of the new vobs either and it looks like RipIt4Me doesn't do audio files. Do I have to burn the .vob I made with RipIt4Me and then rip the new dvd's audio or are there any other .vob to audio file programs out there?

You should still be able to rip the audio directly from the individual episodes with DVD Decrypter in IFO mode.
