Failed burning DVD data discs

As the topic states I am having trouble burning DVD data discs they have been failing just in the bast few weeks they say complete and then when i load them back up to check like I always have it says that the disc is blank so I go to reburn them it says that the Data is not blank. My computer doesn't have trouble burning ISO files and stuff and not having trouble burning audio CDs just data DVDs and I have tried 2 programs to do it and both say the same thing. The first program being Roxio 7.5 or the lates I believe and the other one was just one I found googleing free burning software. Could you guys point me in the right direction with either a burning software that would fix my problem or a fix to my problem using the same software that I have now because I would not like to switch if I had the choice.
